How Orbit Outreach Helps The Community
We use a variety of methods to help out, some of them traditions which have been running for years.
Thanksgiving Drives
Every year, we put on a food drive to help out those in need on Thanksgiving, as well as tossing in some food of our own. We work with a variety of local organizations such as churches, the YWCA, and Leanne's Life Changing Fairies to see the food distributed to homeless people, as well as families in need who lack the resources for a proper thanksgiving.
Christmas Toy Drives
Likewise, every holiday season, we put together a toy drive to ensure as many children as possible can receive toys, baked goods, and other goodies. We try to get toys and gadgets for the widest possible age range, from toddlers to teenagers, and partner with local groups for distribution.
School Supplies
We spend most of our time working with school districts, so we know all too well about the financial problems they face. Whenever possible, we put together sets of school supplies and backpacks which can be given to disadvantaged local children, and help ensure they have what they need to thrive in the coming school year.
Church Volunteering
Once a month, one of our own works with a local church to prepare and serve free lunches to the local homeless population. It's also a great way for our people to stay in touch with the community, so we remember those in need.
